Situation 1
You are a manufacturer. Reply to a wholesaler who is unknown to you. He wrote asking for an agency.
Your reply :
- You are unable to offer an agency.
- You already have a representative.
- Offer a sub-agency.
- Offer to supply through your main agent.
Answer :
Dear sir,
Proposed an agency - London
Thank you for your detailed letter Of june 6th. After careful consideration we regret that we are unable offer an agency for local manufacturer.
In theory, your project is a good one, but we have already a a represent in that area for many years and we’re not thinking of changing the arrangement.
However,if you would like to reconsider the project, you might prefer to act as a sub, agency for you town, at least a one year trial period. We would be glad to supply through from our main agent in the same town.
Thank you once again for your enquiry. Should you decide to proceed with your original plan, we wish you all the best in the future.
Yours Sincerely,
PURRI SETIANINGRUM
